Through educational events and special initiatives, yBILD—Young BILDers—educates young industry leaders on housing and industry issues while providing them with professional development and career growth opportunities. We create strong industry advocates by investing in them today for strong leaders tomorrow.
yBILD events are designed to help members under 40 gain a deeper understanding of the industry, provide professional development opportunities and build their personal industry network.

Being recognized for your hard work and dedication by your peers and fellow industry members is one of the most rewarding feelings! Receiving the 2018 yBILD Leadership Award made that obvious. Being involved with many yBILD and BILD events has allowed me to meet and network with so many industry professionals, learn important career skills, and has even led me to becoming a committee member for yBILD in 2019.
2018 recipient Bradley Hendriks, Montana Steele
Having been a part of the group that started yBILD, then staying on to chair the committee was a fun challenge. Without the help from some really smart and truly generous people, I know full well my career and businesses would not be where they are today. Being recognized with the award from the Association was proof that I was doing my part to give as much as I had received, and it made me feel great to know that I was creating a positive impact for people.
2017 recipient Brendan Charters, Eurodale Developments
To be recognized by my peers, who are themselves all strong leaders in their respective fields, is an unparalleled honour. The formal and informal relationships built as part of my time at yBILD and BILD have facilitated synergies and information-sharing that have improved my own personal understanding of various sub-disciplines of the land development industry.
2016 recipient Catherine Pan, Toronto Community Housing
2015 recipient Katarzyna Sliwa, Dentons LLP
